Taskmaster season 11 has now come to an end and the Channel 4 series has already been renewed for a 12th season. The TV competition sees a different group of comedians and actors compete against each other with each new season. The casting for season 12 has just been announced and Express.co.uk has all you need to know.

Desiree Burch 

Desiree Burch is an American comedian and television host who moved to London to live with her boyfriend at the time, who was from the UK. 

The California-born comedian had  attended   Yale University  and studied theatre there. 

She was a founding member of the New York   Neo-Futurists - a theatre troupe. 

Fans may recognise her voice from   Netflix's   reality show   Too Hot to Handle, which returns in June 2021.

In May 2020 she starred as a contestant in BBC’s I'll Get This.

Guz Khan is a Pakistani-British comedian and actor who is best known for starring in Man Like Mobeen. 

Fans may have also seen him on  Live at the Apollo as a stand-up comedian.

The 35-year-old, from Birmingham, first performed at the Birmingham Repertory Theatre back in 2014. 

He has appeared alongside some popular TV stars in various shows, including Idris Elba in the Netflix show Turn Up Charlie.

In 2020, he starred in the small screen adaptation of Four Weddings And a Funeral.

Morgana Robinson

Morgana is an Australian-born actress and impressionist who is best known for starring in her own sitcom, The Morgana Show. 

Her family moved to the UK when she was three and she made her first TV appearance in 2007, in The Green Green Grass. 

She is known for playing the character Gilbert  in   The TNT Show and as  Pippa Middleton in The Windsors. 

She made her first major film debut in the 2020 release of The Witches. 

Victoria Coren Mitchell

The Taskmaster Series 12 Contestant Line-Up Looks Like an Instant Classic

Alan Davies, Victoria Coren-Mitchell, Guz Khan, Desiree Burch and Morgana Robinson will be competing for the Taskmaster’s approval in series 12 of the Channel 4 Comedy

All change! No sooner had Mike Wozniak charmed the nation by undermining a vole, and put us all off our tea with his downstairs casserole, than it was all over. The current cohort of Taskmaster contestants have finished their last task, and it’s time for a new set of contenders. Please give a warm welcome to series 12 contestants: Desiree Burch, Victoria Coren-Mitchell, Alan Davies, Guz Khan and Morgana Robinson.

Series 12 is set to start on Thursday the 23rd of September at 9pm on Channel 4.

Also arriving in 2021 is the show’s second Champion of Champions special miniseries. That one is set to welcome back the overall winners from series six to ten: Ed Gamble, Lou Sanders, Kerry Godliman, Liza Tarbuck and Richard Herring. If Taskmaster keeps going until series 25 (and if there’s any justice in the world, it will, and beyond) then presumably they’ll be able to stage a Champion of Champions of Champions, where the prize will Greg Davies himself.

Desiree Burch

Stand-up, actor and writer Desiree Burch is an import from NYC and an Edinburgh festival award-winner who’s appeared on BBC One’s Live At The Apollo and regularly brightens up UK podcasts and panel shows. Warning: the clip above contains adult content.

Victoria Coren-Mitchell

Coren-Mitchell is a journalist, writer, professional poker player and the presenter of the only quiz show on TV that takes its name from an E.M Forster novel, Only Connect . See her in the clip above, taken from her husband David Mitchell’s panel show, Would I Lie To You?

Alan Davies

A constant presence on comedy quiz QI with both previous host Stephen Fry and current incumbent Sandi Toksvig, Alan Davies is a stand-up, writer and actor loved for playing duffel-coated detective Jonathan Creek.

The creator and star of BBC Three’s brilliant Birmingham-set comedy Man Like Mobeen (pictured above) Guz Khan is a comedian, writer and ex-teacher who first came to fame in online comedy videos.

Morgana Robinson

Impressionist, writer and actor Morgana Robinson appeared under many guises in her own BBC comedy sketch show, after appearing in Vic and Bob’s House of Fools , Matt Berry’s Toast of London , The Windsors , Psychobitches and many more.

Taskmaster series 12 starts on Channel 4 on Thursday the 23rd of September at 9pm .

Taskmaster has returned to channel 4 for a 12th series showcasing some of the uk’s most talented comedians.

Taskmaster became a cult favourite on Dave before bringing its surreal charms to a wider audience with its move to Channel 4 .

Series 11 of the show – hosted as ever by Greg Davies and Alex Horne – came to an end back in May.

Fear not, however: the Channel 4 series has announced the latest set of stars competing to earn the Taskmaster’s favour in the silliest way possible – here’s who’s in the cast of the next series, and when it starts.

Who’s in the Taskmaster series 12 cast?

Alan Davies

Comedian and actor Alan Davies is probably best known as the star of Jonathan Creek and a permanent panellist on QI .

He began as a stand-up, winning Time Out ‘s Best Young Comic award in 1991 and the Critics Award at the 1994 Edinburgh Festival.

Desiree Burch

American comedian Desiree Burch has appeared on such UK panel shows as Have I Got News For You , QI and Richard Osman’s House of Games.

She has performed on Live at the Apollo , as well as hosting the physical game show Flinch on Netflix.

Guz Khan has also graced the Live at the Apollo stage, but is probably best known as the creator and star of BBC Three comedy drama Man Like Mobeen.

Previously a school teacher, he gave up the day job to pursue his comedy career after a series of viral clips, including the short film Roadman Ramadan .

Morgana Robinson

Impressionist and actress Morgana Robinson is a familiar figure on our screens due to her sketch programmes The Morgana Show on Channel 4 and Morgana Robinson’s The Agency on BBC Two.

She has also acted in the likes of The Windsors, House of Fools and Inside No 9, and appeared in character as Natalie Cassidy on 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown .

Victoria Coren Mitchell

TV presenter, writer and professional poker player Victoria Coren Mitchell has an array of strings to her bow, from hosting Only Connect to a weekly column in the Daily Telegraph .

She was the first woman to win an event on the European Poker Tour and has appeared on everything from Question Time (on three occasions) to 8 Out of 10 Cats , alongside her Peep Show star husband David Mitchell.

When is Taskmaster series 12 on Channel 4?

When it announced the line-up back in May Channel 4 said only that the new series was “set to air this year”.

However, it eventually confirmed that the series would kick off on Thursday 23 September at 9.00pm.

It will continue to air in the same weekly slot for 10 hour-long episodes, which you’ll be able to catch up on via the All 4 streaming service (which also has all the previous series).

The show has traditionally had fast turnarounds, with multiple series each year.

TASKMASTER is back on our screens for series 12 - after Sarah Kendall won in season 11.

The line-up for the Channel 4 hit TV series is confirmed and here's everything we know about them.

Who's in the Taskmaster series 12 line-up?

Alan Davies , Desiree Burch, Guz Khan, Morgana Robinson and Victoria Coren Mitchell are the five celebrities aiming to impress Taskmaster Greg Davies and his assistant "Little" Alex Horne .

The show sees Inbetweeners star Davies cast his opinion on the efforts of the contestants as they complete a series of bizarre and hilarious challenges.

Taskmaster has become one of the most popular comedy shows in the UK following its debut on UKTV channel Dave in 2015, winning a Bafta in 2020.

Previous winners include Bake Off host Noel Fielding , TV legend Liza Tarbuck and comedy icon Bob Mortimer .

The series 11 finale aired on Thursday, May 20, 2021, with Charlotte Ritchie, Jamali Maddix, Lee Mack , Mike Wozniak and Sarah Kendall all vying for the title.

Sarah was crowned the winner after her incredible efforts across the series which included creating a dinosaur using photocopier pics to licking a dog.

Taskmaster moved to its current home on Channel 4 ahead of the tenth series in 2020.

Here's the season 12 line-up:

Alan Davies

Alan, a regular on telly screens for nearly 25 years, is the biggest name in the next series of Taskmaster.

He rose to fame in 1997 when he began playing the titular role in mystery crime drama Jonathan Creek.

Davies has also been a panellist on game show QI since 2003 and starred in a number of TV shows, including The Dog Rescuers on Channel 5 .

Many will also recognise him from his role as the lovable dad in Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging.

He has his own show on Dave called Alan Davies: As Yet Untitled.

Desiree Burch

Desiree has become a regular on British TV in recent years, featuring in Have I Got News for You, The Mash Report, Mock The Week and many more.

Netflix fans will recognise her voice as she’s the narrator of hit reality TV dating show Too Hot to Handle.

They will also know her as the co-host of game show Flinch, which aired on the streaming platform in 2019.

Guz is best known for playing the titular character in the popular BBC comedy-drama Man Like Mobeen.

He’s also appeared in mockumentary Borderline, Live At The Apollo and in a mini-series remake of Four Weddings And A Funeral.

Guz’s other acting credits include romcom Finding Fatimah, comedy programme Turn Up Charlie and panel show Hypothetical.

Morgana Robinson

Morgana is a regular on telly screens having appeared in several hit sitcoms, including My Family, Toast Of London and The Windsors.

The impressionist had her own show on Channel 4 back in 2010 - The Morgana Show - and one on BBC Two in 2017 called Morgana Robinson's The Agency.

She was named the Best Comedy Breakthrough Artist at the 2012 British Comedy Awards and won a Bafta in 2018 for her show Morgana Robinson's Summer.

Victoria Coren Mitchell

Victoria is best known for presenting the BBC quiz show Only Connect since 2008.

The spouse of comedian David Mitchell has appeared on a number of TV shows during her on-screen career, including Question Time , Have I Got News For You and Celebrity Gogglebox , among many more.

Victoria is also a newspaper columnist and professional poker player, earning millions of dollars, becoming the first woman to win an event on the European Poker Tour.

When is Taskmaster on and where can I watch it?

Taskmaster will air every Thursday, starting September 23, 2021, and ending on Thursday, November 25.

Taskmaster  is returning to screens this week for its 16th series, as yet more celebrity contestants take on yet more wacky challenges unde r the watchful eye of Greg Davies and (Little) Alex Horne.

This time around you can expect to see the contestants design fresh sausages and create googly-eyed gangs in their bid to be crowned series champion, and win the coveted prize – a gold head on a small wooden plinth.

The hit show, which launched on Dave in 2015 before moving to Channel 4 in 2020, has been a hit over the years as viewers have become obsessed with various celebrities making absolute fools of themselves.

But who is taking part in the latest series? Here’s what you need to know…

Who is in the lineup of the new Taskmaster series?

This time around you can look forward to seeing the following celebs on Taskmaster:

• Sam Campbell
• Julian Clary
• Sue Perkins
• Susan Wokoma

Lucy Beaumont is a stand-up comedian who has also featured in such shows as 8 Out Of 10 Cats and Meet The Richardsons, alongside her husband, comedian Jon Richardson.

Sam Campbell is a stand-up comedian who’s also appeared in the likes of Channel 4 comedy Stath Lets Flats, while many will recognise Julian Clary from 80s comedy series Friday Night Live, as well as TV shows Sticky Moments, Murder Most Fab and Celebrity Big Brother – which he won in 2012.

Sue Perkins is of course familiar to viewers as the former host of The Great British Bake Off, which she co-hosted with comedy partner Mel Giedroyc – while the lineup is completed by actress Susan Wokoma, known for her roles in Chewing Gum and Enola Holmes.

They’ll all be hoping to follow in the footsteps of reigning champion Mae Martin – who took the season 15 title ahead of Frankie Boyle, Ivo Graham, Kiell Smith-Bynoe and Jenny Eclair.

When is Taskmaster on?

The series kicks off on Channel 4 on Thursday September 21 at 9pm.

The first episode promises the usual mayhem, with jousting, a tricky task involving a pyramid of cans, and a bizarre race involving giant ducks.

The episode runs for an hour ahead of 8 Out Of 10 Cats Does Countdown at 10pm.

If you miss it you’ll be able to catch up via Channel 4’s streaming service 4od.

The new series is set to run for 10 weeks – so you can expect to see the winner crowned some time in November.

Taskmaster is back for a 16th season , looking to find another person to reign victorious after completing a series of bizarre and hilarious challenges.

Much like seasons before, the line-up features a variety of comedy legends and up-and-coming comics, from Susan Wokoma to Sue Perkins.

Meanwhile, this season will also feature Friday Night Live 's Julian Clary and Bloods star Sam Campbell.

Thankfully we will all be able rejoice when season 16 ends, as Channel 4 commissioned six more seasons of the game show, which are set to air over the next three years.

Julian Clary

Julian Clary is a comedian, performer and author who first become known for appearing on Friday Night Live and went on to become the winner of Celebrity Big Brother in 2012.

He began his career in the 1980s under the name Leo Hurll, and went on to have a successful stand-up and TV career. He has presented series such as All Rise for Julian Clary, Prickly Heat and This Morning, and has made appearances on Strictly Come Dancing , Have I Got News For You , QI , Who Do You Think You Are? and, in a cameo, Neighbours .

Lucy Beaumont

Lucy Beaumont is a comedy actor, writer and stand-up, who is best-known for her role in documentary style sitcom Meet the Richardsons, along with her husband and former Taskmaster contestant Jon Richardson.

She was a finalist on So You Think You're Funny in 2011, and has also made appearances on Jon Richardson: Ultimate Worrier, 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, Richard Osman's House of Games, Have I Got News For You and more. She also co-wrote the sitcom Hullraisers , and this year appeared on the Great Celebrity Bake Off .

Sam Campbell

Sam Campbell is a multi-award winning Australian stand-up who was the winner of the main prize at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards in 2022.

He also plays Darrell in Sky comedy series Bloods and has appeared in Stath Lets Flats and Pls Like . Earlier this year he was nominated at the National Comedy Awards in the best stand-up category.

Sue Perkins

Sue Perkins is a presenter, writer and comedian best-known for her comedy partnership with Mel Giedroyc and for co-presenting The Great British Bake Off between 2010 and 2016.

She also previously wrote for French & Saunders and has hosted shows such as Light Lunch, Insert Name Here and The Generation Game. She has made appearances on Celebrity Big Brother, QI, Thronecast and The Masked Singer , and co-stars with Giedroyc in sitcom Hitmen. Last year she presented Sue Perkins: Perfectly Legal on Netflix .

Susan Wokoma

Susan Wokoma is an actor, writer and director known for her role as Edith in the Enola Holmes films and as Raquel in Crazyhead.

She has also had roles in series such as Crashing, Chewing Gum, Porters, Year of the Rabbit, Peacock and Cheaters, as well as in films including The House, The Inbetweeners 2 and Burn Burn Burn.

Taskmaster crowns winner for series 12

Who became this year's champion?

But only one was going to go home with the coveted prize of host Greg Davies's beautiful golden head statue.

After 10 weeks and 50 challenges, each one more absurd than the last, it was Morgana who came out on top.

Going into the final, Morgana was in the lead with 150 points. Fairly close behind were Guz with 145, Alan with 142 and Desiree with 140, while Victoria walked into the final episode with little hope of actually winning as she had only accrued 108 points.

But while Guz managed to win the episode with a one-point lead, Morgana needed fewer points to get a one-point overall lead over Guz.

The final saw the contestants present "magnificent floppy things" to the judges in an attempt to impress them, which included the harrowing image of an explicit raggedy doll made in Alan's image. Next Desiree shocked everyone with her ability to chug liquid without closing her mouth, taking seconds where others took minutes to drink one glass.

Greg was renamed Caring Uncle Minpict in a pair challenge (if you know, you know) and Alex Horne rejected everyone's marriage proposal – lucky for Victoria Coren Mitchell ... Horne.

During the series, Victoria Coren Mitchell learned how to ride a bike for a task , there was a cameo from a cute dog named Marco , plus numerous clever nods to previous Taskmaster challenges – from the time when Liza Tarbuck made Alex Horne sit on a cake to Joe Wilkinson's controversial potato throw disqualification way back in series two.

At the end of tonight's episode, Channel 4 also announced the line-up for next year's series which will see two Strictly Come Dancing alumni, a Death in Paradise star and two stand-up comics.

Taskmaster airs on Thursdays at 9pm on Channel 4. A new Champion of Champions special is also expected to premiere in 2021.

Channel 4 has confirmed that the new season of Taskmaster will launch on Thursday, March 30 at 9 pm. The 10-part series will air weekly in this slot.

Here Greg Davies and Alex Horne share their thoughts on this season's lineup... 

Frankie Boyle

Alex: "It’s unusual to see Frankie without his dignity and not being in charge but he completely threw himself into it, partly because his kids are big fans, and partly because he really likes the show and I think he trusts us, luckily. But he had to wait 14 series to really be sure that we’d look after him and agree to do it!"

Greg: "He makes an assertion, he comes up with a plan, and he follows that plan through regardless of new information that might come in. “This is the plan, and I’m sticking with it.” It’s a sort of Bomber Harris approach to  Taskmaster!"

Kiell Smith-Bynoe

Alex "I think he’ll surprise people. People will have seen him in things. Even like  Ghosts  — someone from our Art Department who loves  Ghosts  didn’t even put the two together because he’s known as an actor, not as a comedian. But he’s thankfully a really funny person. And he’s got a face that lights up, a real twinkle."

Greg: I always say he adds value in some way to every task. There’s always a shimmy or flourish. He’s showbiz!"

Jenny Eclair

Alex: "She had the time of her life, both in and out of the studio. The whole show is meant to be doing stuff you did as a kid that you don’t do anymore. You know, you can make a big mess and you can make a little film. She’s really throwing herself into it. 

Greg: "You can really see the inner child in her, and I found it so gleeful. It’s not performance. She’s doing it for herself."

Greg: "They’re quite forensic in the way they approach tasks. I like that. But then there are flashes of mischief: understated mischief. And they’ll often throw in a very clever call-back or a very witty line."

Is there a trailer for Taskmaster season 15?

Taskmaster series 16 finally unveils the secret task

Taskmaster series 16 has finally revealed what the secret task that's been teased for weeks is.

Greg Davies and Alex Horne have been hinting to the line-up — Julian Clary, Lucy Beaumont, Sam Campbell, Sue Perkins and Susan Wokoma — about a secret task for multiple episodes, and tonight's (November 9) episode saw the task revealed, and carried out.

The first task of the episode saw them search for the task around the Taskmaster house in two groups (Sue and Susan, then Sam, Julian, and Lucy), with each celeb in one room at a time, changing every time Alex blew his horn.

In the end, it turned out to be in the living room under the TM beneath the art deco painting of Greg.

Sue found the secret task's envelope first, and read it out: "If you found it fastest, choose one contestant to lose five points. If you found it second fastest, choose one contestant to lose one point. If you find it third fastest, choose one contestant to get a special hat.

"If you find it fourth fastest, choose one contestant to gain one point. If you are the slowest, choose one contestant to gain five points. You must not choose yourself."

While Sue and Susan might have known who was first out of the two them, they wouldn't know how much time the other three would have taken.

But in a further twist, the three-person team only had the instruction to say the name of another contestant after 10 seconds, and didn't know about the points (and hat) situation.

Sue, Susan and Julian all said Sam, and Lucy and Sam both said Sue. But what did that mean, points wise?

Well... as Julian was the fastest, Sam lost five points, but gained five points from Susan being the slowest. Sue lost a point from Sam, but won a special hat from Lucy,

Finally, Sam gained one point Sue, so overall things didn't really change all that much.

When asked how he felt to be named three times, Sam said: "It's just nice to be talked about."

Taskmaster series 16 airs and streams on Thursday nights at 9pm on Channel 4 , where you can also stream previous series.

• Walt Disney Studios is constantly updating its film schedule.
• In addition to " Star Wars " movies and Marvel projects, Disney also distributes Fox films.
• Three more "Avatar" sequels, a fifth "Toy Story" film, and another "Alien" movie are on the way.

The following list contains Walt Disney Studios' theatrical film slate as of November 9, 2023.

"The Marvels" — November 10, 2023

The "Captain Marvel" sequel finds Carol Danvers' (Brie Larson) powers tangled with those of Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel (Iman Vellani) and Captain Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris), who Marvel refers to as Carol's "estranged niece."

"Next Goal Wins" — November 17

Based on a true story, Taika Waititi's ("Thor: Love and Thunder") sports comedy follows coach Thomas Rongen's (Michael Fassbender) attempt to lead the American Samoa soccer team, considered the world's worst soccer team, into a World Cup qualifier.

Rhys Darby, Elisabeth Moss, and Will Arnett also star.

"Wish" — November 22

Disney's next big animated musical focuses on the origin story of the wishing star seen across many Disney classics. 

The film follows Asha (Ariana DeBose) in the kingdom of Rosas as she sets out to save her home with a tiny cosmic sidekick named Star and her pet goat, Valentino (Alan Tudyk). Chris Pine stars as the film's villain.

"Poor Things" — December 8

Based on the novel by Alasdair Gray and directed by Yorgos Lanthimos, an eccentric doctor (Willem Dafoe) brings his daughter (Emma Stone) back to life using the brain of her unborn child.

Also starring Mark Ruffalo and Ramy Youssef, the film is based on Alasdair Gray's 1992 novel .

"All of Us Strangers" — December 22

A screenwriter, Adam (Andrew Scott), discovers his dead parents (Claire Foy and Jamie Bell) alive in his childhood home after an encounter with his mysterious neighbor (Paul Mescal).

Adam's parents strangely appear the same exact age as the day they died three decades ago.

"The Bikeriders" — TBD

Based on a 1968 photo book of the same name , the Jeff Nichols-directed movie follows the evolution of a fictional motorcycle club through the eyes of its members. 

Jodie Comer, Austin Butler, Tom Hardy, Michael Shannon, Mike Faist, and Norman Reedus star.

The film was set for a December 1 release, but was removed from the theatrical calendar during the SAG-AFTRA strike .

"Magazine Dreams" — TBD

The film follows Jonathan Majors as an aspiring bodybuilder. Majors received high praise for his performance in the film at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival. 

Originally set for a December 8, 2023 theatrical release, the film has quietly been removed from the calendar as Majors' domestic dispute continues to play out in the courts .

"Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes" — May 24, 2024

A sequel to 2017's "War for the Planet of the Apes," Wes Ball directs the fourth film in the 20th Century Studios' saga which will take place years after the last movie. 

Humans have regressed while apes have taken over the Earth, but are enslaving clans. The film will star Owen Teague as Caesar's son.

"Inside Out 2" — June 14, 2024

"It takes place in Riley's head, only this time, she's a teenager," Amy Poehler said at 2022's D23 Expo , adding there will be "new emotions that show up." 

"Inside Out 2" will be directed by Kelsey Mann who worked on "The Good Dinosaur," "Lightyear," and "Onward," with a script from Meg LeFauve who wrote the original 2015 film. 

According to Puck's Matthew Belloni , per Vulture , Mindy Kaling and Bill Hader will not reprise their roles because they were offered 2% of Poehler's salary, which is reportedly $5 million "plus additional fees and bonuses."

Untitled "Deadpool 3" — July 26, 2024

Ryan Reynolds surprised fans with a video update to the third movie, announcing that his pal Hugh Jackman would reprise his role as the X-Men character Wolverine.

The anticipated sequel, directed by Reynolds' frequent collaborator, Shawn Levy, will also star Morena Baccarin, Brianna Hildebrand, Emma Corrin, and Rob Delaney. In addition to Jackman's reprisal, reports and rumors claim that fans could also be in store for a lot of familiar faces from Marvel's past in the new film.

The movie was previously scheduled for a November 2024 release.

Untitled "Alien" movie — August 16, 2024

A new "Alien" movie appeared in Disney's latest theatrical release schedule in June 2023.

This will be the first new "Alien" film release since Disney purchased Fox. It will be directed by Fede Álvarez.

"The Amateur" — November 8, 2024

20th Century Studios' spy thriller stars Rami Malek as a CIA cryptographer who loses his wife in a terrorist attack.

When the agency won't go after her killer due to an internal conflict, Malek's character blackmails the CIA.

Rachel Brosnahan, Laurence Fishburne, and Julianne Nicholson also star.

"Mufasa: The Lion King" — December 20, 2024

"'Mufasa' is the origin story of one of the greatest kings in the history of pride lions," director Barry Jenkins ("Moonlight") told fans at 2022's D23 Expo, saying that the film will be told in different time frames as it shifts between the present and past.

Rafiki, Timon, and Pumbaa are all narrating Mufasa's story, which will show how he came into power.

"Mufasa was actually an orphaned cub who had to navigate the world alone, by himself," Jenkins said of the prequel. "In telling this story, we get to experience the real journey of how Mufasa found his place in the Circle of Life."

"Captain America: Brave New World" — February 14, 2025

Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) is the new Captain America in the fourth film in the franchise.

At the 2022 D23 Expo, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige announced that Shira Haas would play superheroine Sabra while Tim Blake Nelson will reprise his role from 2008's "The Incredible Hulk" as The Leader, a Hulk villain.

Danny Ramirez and Carl Lumbly will also reprise their roles from "The Falcon and the Winter Soldier." Director Julius Onah ("The Cloverfield Paradox") described the sequel as a thriller.

Marvel Studios recently changed the film's title from "Captain America: New World Order."

"Snow White" — March 21, 2025

Marc Webb ("The Amazing Spider-Man") directs the upcoming adaptation with "West Side Story" star Rachel Zegler playing the iconic Disney princess . Gal Gadot assumes the role of her stepmother, the Evil Queen.

"Snow White is the girl you remember, but she's definitely made for the modern age," Zegler told the D23 crowd. "There's such an emphasis on what it really means to be the fairest of them all. For Snow White, it's coming to terms with finding herself and finding her inner voice and finding a sense of agency so that she can be a just ruler and a wonderful queen."

The fairy tale will have new music by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, who wrote the songs for "The Greatest Showman" and "La La Land." 

The film was pushed back an entire year in October due to the SAG-AFTRA strike.

"Fantastic Four" — May 2, 2025

First announced several years ago, Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige confirmed at the 2022 San Diego Comic-Con that the "Fantastic Four" reboot will kick off Phase Six of the MCU.

At D23 Expo in 2022, Feige revealed that "WandaVision" director Matt Shakman would direct the reboot. No cast has been named yet for the film.

"Elio" — June 13, 2025

Elio follows an 11-year-old child who meets aliens and becomes Earth's ambassador. Starring America Ferrara and Yonas Kibreab, it will be directed by Adrian Molina.

The film was originally set for a 2024 release.

"Moana" remake — June 27, 2025

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson announced the live-action adaptation during a prerecorded video for a shareholders meeting  in early April.

Johnson will reprise his role from the hit 2016 movie as Maui. Original Moana actor Auli'i Cravalho  announced on Instagram  she won't reprise her role as the Disney princess.

Instead, she'll serve as an executive producer.

"Thunderbolts" — July 25, 2025

"There's currently a world without the Avengers," Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige said at the D23 Expo in September 2022, when asked about the state of the MCU in the next "Captain America" film.

"Just because there is not an organization of the Avengers, doesn't mean there's not a group of superheroes in the MCU."

"Thunderbolts" features a ragtag bunch of antiheroes, including a group of characters we've seen introduced in various movies and Disney+ shows.

Bucky Barnes/The Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan), US Agent (Wyatt Russell), Ghost (Hannah John-Kamen), Red Guardian (David Harbour), Contessa Valentina Allegra de Fontaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus), Taskmaster (Olga Kurylenko), and Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh) will all star in the upcoming movie.

The group basically seems like Marvel's version of the Suicide Squad.

"Blade" — November 7, 2025

Although Wesley Snipes originated the role in the 1998 movie, Academy Award winner Mahershala Ali is playing the human/vampire hybrid, who protects humans from vamps, in the reboot. 

Ali's Blade was first teased in a post-credit scene of "Eternals."

"Avatar 3" — December 19, 2025

"Avatar 3" was shot simultaneously with "Avatar 2." The film was recently pushed back from 2024.

Disney currently has four untitled Disney projects set for release in 2025.

Untitled "Star Wars" movie — December 18, 2026

This may be Taika Waititi's ("Thor: Love and Thunder") "Star Wars" movie.

"Taika's approach to 'Star Wars' will be fresh, unexpected, and…unique," Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy said on Disney's 2020 investor day of Waititi. "His enormous talent and sense of humor will ensure that audiences are in for an unforgettable ride."

Additional future "Star Wars" movies will be directed by James Mangold ("Logan") and Dave Filoni .

"Avatar 4" — December 21, 2029

Sam Worthington and Zoe Saldaña star in the "Avatar" movies. This film was recently pushed back from a 2026 release date.

"Avatar 5" — December 19, 2031

James Cameron had ideas for "Avatar 2" and "Avatar 3" in 2010. He originally announced "Avatar 4" in 2012, before revealing he planned for a fifth film in 2015.

Series 12 line-up announced.

In the wake of another heroically fought task tournament, BAFTA winning and International Emmy nominated Taskmaster has revealed a new host of comedy minds signing up for a fresh round of surreal challenges, placing themselves under the scrutiny of Taskmaster Greg Davies , and the watchful eye of his obedient assistant Little Alex Horne .

The five brave candidates limbering up for an assault course of absurdity are: comedian, writer, and actor Alan Davies ( QI , BBC Two); comedian, writer and actor Desiree Burch ( Live At The Apollo , BBC One); BAFTA nominated comedian Guz Khan ( Man Like Mobeen , BBC Three); BAFTA winning impressionist and writer Morgana Robinson ( The Morgana Show , Channel 4); writer, presenter and professional poker player Victoria Coren Mitchell ( Only Connect , BBC Two). This quintet eagerly await their chance to impress the Taskmaster who will deliver his merciless verdicts on their efforts before administering points and awarding the ultimate prize in entertainment, and all time; a gold representation of his own head.
